Structured into self-standing modules, the programme allows participants to engage with specific topics or complete the full pathway. Key areas include introduction to XR, 3D modelling, principles of artificial intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, Cybersecurity, hardware for immersive technologies, Playful Collaborative and Social Virtual Environments, as well as critical topics such as privacy and security, intellectual property, and the governance of emerging technologies.
The curriculum is shaped by a thorough assessment of industry needs and emphasises applied, hands-on learning. Practical activities include real-world case studies, interactive exercises, and project-based work carried out in dedicated XR laboratories, supporting headset-based design, coding, and 3D development.
Ethical, legal, and socio-economic dimensions are deeply integrated across the training modules. Dedicated content addresses responsible innovation, data rights, inclusivity, and the broader societal implications of immersive technologies. This emphasis ensures that learners not only acquire technical knowledge but also develop a critical awareness aligned with core European values such as human dignity, democracy, equality, and the rule of law.
The one-year programme is delivered fully online in English, with high-quality learning materials, continuous academic support, and a structured virtual learning environment tailored for working professionals.
Participants who complete the full programme will receive a joint certificate of completion for the Advanced Training Programme, which may also include academic credits eligible for recognition within the consortium’s Master’s Degree Programme.
